Give your skin a softer surface

The surface of our skin needs moisture for many reasons. Without the correct levels of moisture the skin cannot exfoliate, leaving old and damaged skin cells on the upper layers and slowing down the skin’s natural regeneration process, leaving skin feeling tight and looking dry.

Many moisturisers contain Glycerin to hold moisture, but Vaseline® Sheer Infusion™ also contains a true revolution in moisture technology – Glycerol Quat (GQ), which also holds moisture at the surface – giving you instantly soft, hydrated skin which lasts and lasts.

A deep infusion for your skin

The core is where the skin cells begin to mature and work effectively to provide a natural barrier to the external world. The cells produce oils and lipids to form a waterproof barrier. Without the correct levels of moisture the natural processes can slow down and the cells cannot do their job.

While some moisurisers depend on greasy oils to provide moisture, these find it difficult to penetrate through the layers of the skin to the deeper layers, and cannot actively pull moisture into the skin. Vaseline® Sheer Infusion™ combines Glycerin alongside to other moisturising ingredients to infuse moisture deep down into your skin. The Glycerin acts like a sponge inside the skin soaking up moisture and providing your skin with the ability to increase its moisture levels instantly, which helps the skin feel soft and hydrated, but without feeling greasy.

A key ingredient for supple skin

Another ingredient of Vaseline® Sheer Infusion™ is Hydroxyethyl Urea, which infuses moisture even deeper down into your skin, hydrating right down to the bottom layer of the stratum corneum. This is where the skin cells begin to form, and providing moisture at this level helps the skin to begin its transition from a new cell to fully mature cell. Increasing the moisture levels at the very base of the stratum corneum means that there will be a natural diffusion of moisture.
